Asylum Seekers in Moria Stage Sit-in, Claim They Are Defenceless against COVID-19

MORIA, Lesbos – A large number of asylum seekers, mostly Africans, staged a sit-in starting early on Wednesday morning outside the reception and identification centre of Moria, on the island of Lesbos.

The asylum seekers demand the adoption of protection measures against the coronavirus pandemic and state that they are defenceless in the case of a Covid-19 outbreak within the facility.
