Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, declared that Turkey’s not recognizing the Republic of Cyprus is inconceivable, and he reiterated his country’s support for a Cyprus solution.
“We are seeking a peaceful resolution both for the Cyprus issue, as well as for the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh,”he noted, during an event at the University of Cyprus, where he spoke on the “political agenda of Armenia ahead of the 25th anniversary of Independence.”
According to CNA, “He added that a Cyprus settlement is feasible, if other forces stop raising obstacles in the process.”
