Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
CHERRY HILL, NJ – His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia presided over the service of the Akathist Hymn at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, NJ, on March 31. The members of the Hellenic Presidential Guard, the Evzones, attended the service in their traditional costume ahead of their participation in the Philadelphia Greek Independence Parade on Sunday, April 2. Presiding priest of the community Fr. Avgoustinos Psomas noted that it was an honor to welcome His Grace and the Evzones. Among those present for the service were Consul of Greece in New York Dimitris Papageorgiou, George Horiates, and Harry Karapalides, Esq.
