Attendees of Archon Weekend Are Advised To Get COVID Test

NEW YORK – The Order of Saint Andrew the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate issued a letter informing guests who attended their event-filled weekend that there were several positive COVID-19 cases identified.
The letter states the following:

“Dear Archons and Friends who attended the Archon Weekend events at the New York Hilton Midtown and Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, from October 29–31:

It has been reported that three persons attending the Archon Weekend events tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. As you may know, the CDC recommends that people who were potentially exposed to infected persons with Covid-19 should be tested within 5 to 7 days after exposure. The CDC has also stated that persons exposed to Covid-19 infected persons may become symptomatic within 2 to 14 days after exposure.

As you all know, everyone who attended the event was required to show proof of vaccination, except at the Cathedral, but the CDC also recognizes breakthrough cases and transmission can occur in fully vaccinated persons.

If anyone else tests positive, please let the Archon office know immediately at: [email protected] or 212-570-3550 and also forward this notice to anyone else in your party who may have attended these Archon Weekend events.”
