ATHENS – Having enjoyed a half dozen vacations from jail and being transferred from a high-security prison to a low-security work farm when the Radical Left SYRIZA was in power, notorious terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas’ bid for another furlough has been rejected.

A court in the central Greek town of Volos, near where he is being held, upheld a decision by the institution’s parole board denying him more time off from jail where he is serving 11 consecutive life sentences for his role in helping lead the disbanded terror group Nov. 17 kill 23 people.

He had last December again wanted another nine-day holiday to be with his family. When that was rejected, he filed an appeal with the court demanding the parole board be overturned but has lost out in that arena now too.
He has now been turned down four times after being transferred to the Kassavetia Rural Penitentiary in Volos in August 2018 and each time the decision was because he is not entitled to furloughs given inmates convicted to a single life sentence.

The board also noted that Koufodinas, who, during an earlier furlough was spotted walking around Athens with a noted anarchist leader happily pointing out spots where he killed people – five Americans attached to the US Embassy were among the victims – had never shown any remorse for his brutal crimes and multiple murders.
