Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
HERAKLION, Crete – Unknown individuals barged into the office of the German Consulate in Heraklion in Crete on Friday, saying they are protesting against the situation in Turkey, the status of Kurds and Germany’s position towards what is happening in Afrin, Syria.
The invaders, who described themselves as anti-establishment and expressed solidarity to Syrians, entered easily the apartment building where the Consulate in housed. The Honorary Consul, Marianne Zouridaki, was not in her office when the incident happened and returned quickly when she was contacted.
