Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – The number of visitors to museums and archaeological sites in Greece posted a 21.8 pct and 19.4 pct rise, respectively, in April 2019, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Tuesday.
In April 2019 the number of visitors to museums increased by 21.8 pct, while numbers of free admission visitors increased by 25 pct and there was a 19.9 pct hike in revenues.
According to ELSTAT’s report, in the four months of 2019 there was a 9.2 pct increase in visitors, 5.9 pct increase in free admissions and revenues rose by 16.1 pct.
In archaeological sites, in April 2019 there was a 19.4 pct increase in visitors, a 24.8 pct hike in free admissions and revenues rose by 18.4 pct in comparison with April 2018.
In the period January-April 2019, visitors to archaeological sites of Greece increased by 10.3 pct, free admissions by 11.1 pct while revenues posted a 14.4 pct hike.
