Tsipras’ Message after French Election Results

ATHENS – Main oppositon SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras referred to the results of the French elections late on Sunday in a post on social media: “Macron’s defeat is a defeat of his neoliberal policy. Hope from the strengthening of the left. The dangers are the far right and abstention figures. The message is strong and clear: Policy change and support for society is urgent before it sinks into barbarism. Both in France and in Greece and everywhere.”

ATHENS - It seems nothing can stop the New Democracy juggernaut of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, whose party continues to steamroll over increasingly fractured rivals caught up in infighting.
