Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
NEW YORK – PSEKA (International Coordinating Committee Justice for Cyprus) President Philip Christopher invited all to attend the 36th Annual Cyprus and Hellenic Leadership Conference on Tuesday, July 20, 12 PM EDT via Zoom.
Christopher said via email: “July 20th will mark the 47th dark anniversary of Turkey’s illegal invasion and continued occupation of Cyprus. All major Greek-American organizations are hosting an important Zoom conference, 12 PM New York time.”
He noted the speakers scheduled to participate include Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, Senator Robert Menendez, and numerous distinguished members of the U.S. Congress.
“We are all frustrated and disappointed with the lack of progress on the Cyprus issue but we must continue this fight,” said Christopher.
“The work goes on, the hope endures, and the dream of a free Cyprus will never die,” he concluded.
