Sakellaropoulou to Attend Events 157th Anniversary of the Ionian Islands Union with Greece

ATHENS — President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou is visiting Corfu οn Thursday and Friday, in order to attend the events for the 157th anniversary of the Union of the Ionian Islands with Greece.

In particular, at 18:15, she will have a meeting with the rectorate of the Ionian University and then, at 19:00, she will go to the Holy Monastery of Platytera and lay a wreath at the tomb of Ioannis Kapodistrias.

At 19:20 she will attend a regional authority event to mark the anniversary of the integration of the Ionian Islands, while at 20:30 she will attend a dinner given by the Ionian islands governor.

On Friday at 11:30 she will attend the mass at the Holy Temple of Agios Spyridon and then lay a wreath at the Monument of the Union of the Ionian Islands.

Αt 13:00, she will go to the Palace of Saints Michael and George, where she will be declared an Honorary Citizen of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, and at 14:30 she will attend a dinner hosted by the Mayor of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands.
