Rhodian Society of NY Releases Statement on Passing of Anna Sotrilis

NEW YORK – The Rhodian Society of New York – Apollon released the following statement after the passing of longtime member Anna Sotrilis:

The Rhodian Society of New York – Apollon mourns the loss of one of its own, Mrs. Anna Sotrilis, who passed away on Monday, November 23. Mrs. Sotrilis, full of kindness and generosity was inextricably linked to the Rhodian Society of New York – Apollo, since she was the wife of the longtime president and now member of our board, Mr. Savvas Sotrilis. For decades, they both tirelessly served the local community, the Society and the Rhodians around the world, with generosity, love, kindness, and honesty. It was her support and devotion to her husband that helped them to lead our Society to success, but also bolstered us through the difficult times as well.

The funeral took place on November 28 at St. Catherine and St. George Church in Astoria.

The Rhodian Society of New York – Apollon mourns together with the Sotrilis family and stands by their side. In memory of Mrs. Anna, a symbolic donation will be deposited in the special fund of the Pan-Rhodian Society – Apollon, created for the construction of a specialized high-quality camping area for children in Kolymbia, Rhodes.

Our heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.

Yours sincerely,

President
