Rep. Frelinghuysen Visits Cyprus

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ), Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, recently led a bipartisan Congressional delegation to four nations, including Cyprus.

Discussions centered on the ongoing dispute with Turkey regarding the northern region of the country and possible military assistance to the Cypriot government. The delegation also discussed with their Cypriot hosts relationships with Russia.

In addition to Frelinghuysen, the bipartisan delegation included Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR), Rep. Steve Israel, (D-NY), Subcommittee Vice-Chair Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX), Rep. John Carter (R-TX), Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Subcommittee Ranking Democratic Member, Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-IN), Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA).
