Migrants Rescued in the Sea Area of Farmakonisi and Symi

ATHENS – A Coast Guard vessel rescued 23 migrants who were on a boat in the sea area southwest of Farmakonisi on Friday.

According to the Coast Guard, there were 10 men, six women, five girls and two boys on the boat, who were taken to the port of Agia Marina in Leros.

Also, a Coast Guard patrol boat on a routine patrol spotted 24 migrants (18 men, three women and three boys) on a beach in Symi.

The Coast Guard rescued the migrants, who were safely transported to the port of Symi.
