Lots of Joy, Good Coffee Too at Bradenton’s Kefi Streetside Cafe

February 26, 2022

It hasn’t taken long for Kefi Streetside Cafe in Bradenton, Florida to become a local favorite, mostly behind some inspiring coffees and a Greek-style sense of hospitality, and Greek foods too.

It opened in November, 2021, operated by owners Eleni Sokos and Jason Thompson, her business partner, and offers the unusual combination of java and Mediterranean food.

“I give it 10 out of 10 stars. I’m a regular and I’m here every day,” Giselle Maya told The Bradenton Herald as she waited for her iced latte made with oat milk. “Kefi is my favorite shop,” she said.

It has a walk-up window – made for the COVID times – for quick walk-away brews although there are outdoor tables on a covered and fenced patio, Sokos saying, “it was a perfect fit.”

Kefi – which means joy or in the mood – is a perfect fit for the place too, which goes past coffee to makings like caramel apple cold brew and chocolate-cherry latte.

You can match it with Zeus pita Greek-style pulled pork, bacon, tomato, white onion, tzatziki and feta, or Athena pita with hummus.
