Defiant Trump Now GOP Frontrunner

PHOENIX, AZ – Defiant in the face of widespread backlash at his calling Mexicans “rapists,” Donald Trump is staying strong on his message to combat illegal immigration, and has risen to the top of the GOP polls, the Washington Post and the Huffington Post’s Poll Trends report.

Trump was in Phoenix over the weekend lambasting fellow GOP contender Jeb Bush, calling him “weak on immigration” to thunderous cheers.

As a result of Trump’s comments several days ago, several high-profile organizations, such as NBC and Macy’s have stopped sponsoring his initiatives.

Although Reince Preibus, a Greek-American who is Chairman of the Republican National Committee called Trump and asked him to tone his acerbic rhetoric down an notch, Trump to this point has taken the opposite approach.
So far, it has worked, as support has swelled for his candidacy, and he now tops a crowded GOP field that is nearing 20 contenders.
