Albany AHEPA Chapter 140 Honors Life Members

ALBANY, NY – Albany AHEPA Chapter 140 welcomed AHEPA District 6 Governor Dean Moskos and District 6 Lt. Governor Chris Pappis to its monthly meeting at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church on May 2.

District Governor Moskos presented life certificates to Harry Ermides and Jordan Moisides for 50 years of service with the Order of AHEPA, a truly incredible milestone. Ermides was initiated on June 5, 1967. He is the current Parish Council President and also the choir director and chairman of the St. Sophia 100th Anniversary Celebration in 2022. He is married to Diane and they have two children, Elaine Palas and Lea Stevens along with six grandchildren.

Moisides was initiated on November 19, 1973. He served as Sons of Pericles Phocion Chapter 44 Secretary from September 1969 to June 1970 and also as Vice President of AHEPA Chapter 140 from 2019 to 2021 before being elected President in June 2021.

As part of his upstate visit on May 3, Brother Dean Moskos attended a meeting for the 3rd Annual Eleftheria Capital Region AHEPA Golf Outing scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, at Normanside Country Club in Delmar, NY.

For nearly a century, the Order of AHEPA has promoted the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism.
