Loyola Chicago Students Will Go Crazy for Crazy Greek’s Food

If there's anything college students know, it's where to get good food cheap and for those at Loyola of Chicago, they have The Crazy Greek, which the school newspaper, the Phoenix, said is “the perfect new spot for fast, casual and flavorful Greek-American fare.”

The restaurant moved from its original location in Skokie and the paper said it will likely be a real draw for college students with a menu featuring a variety, from gyros to charburgers to rice bowls and salad bowls.

It's also easy on a student's wallet, with main dishes under $9.99, especially with big portions and an array of desserts including Greek cookies and baklava, if you have room after a big gyro and a side of fries topped with feta.

Their baklava, which is generously served in two large slices, has bold notes of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg, the paper said in a review, calling the restaurant a great addition to the area.

It gets 4.5 stars in reviews from Yelp, always a good sign, and also has outdoor seating for those wary diners during the still lingering COVID-19 pandemic on everyone's mind.
