Greek International Midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis Test Positive for COVID-19

August 24, 2020

ATHENS – Greek international midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis has tested positive for Covid-19 according to the Italian club that he plays for, Lecce.

In the announcement, Lecce wanted to give a reason behind the absence of the 29-year-old Nafplio-native Tachtsidis, and stated that they recommended that he remain home, away from teammates and staff. The Greek international voluntarily was tested before he left Greece, while on vacation, to return to Italy, and that is when he tested positive for Covid-19.

Lecce wished Tachtsidis a full and speedy recovery, hoping that he rejoins his teammates as quickly as possible.
