The Melbourne, Australia Greek-based Not For Profit’s Fronditha Care company, which has homes for aged, has turned to a new Chief Executive, Faye Spiteri, after taking a $6.5 million loss in 2021.

She didn't waste any time making moves, reported The Weekly Source, setting up a new structural organization at the corporate level and reviewing workforce costs to try to turn things around with COVID-19 still lingering.

“We made a deliberate decision to lessen the impact on service delivered and stayed true to our service promise with no reduction in numbers of staff across community or residential services,” she said. The company has five facilities.

“In consultation with Residential Managers, we reviewed and changed our master rosters across all facilities and adjusted these with regard to each facility,” she also said.

She took over earlier this year after former CEO Michael Malakonas resigned. Fronditha’s management pointed to depreciation as a cause for the loss with the value of the group’s assets decreasing because of the pandemic.

Spiteri left a senior position in the Victorian Government to take over and has a background in social policy, strategy, and communications.
