Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
TROY, NY – After a one year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Trojan AHEPA Chapter 306 held its third annual Souvlaki Fest at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church in Troy on October 23. The AHEPA Brothers and many volunteers from the St. Basil’s community spent hours preparing for the Fest and were rewarded with a beautiful fall day.
Food included souvlaki, gyro, pastitsio, moussaka, rice pilaf, Greek salad, and spanakopita. A huge turnout led to all the delicious food being sold out early. It was an incredibly successful Fest which resulted in substantial amounts of money raised for Chapter 306’s charitable and philanthropic programs, and scholarship funds.
