Archbishop Elpidophoros Present Gift to Patriarch Bartholomew

CONSTANTINOPE – Archbishop Elpidophoros of America presented His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew the profound respects and best wishes of His flock in America, on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of his election and enthronement as Ecumenical Patriarch. On behalf of the faithful, His Eminence presented the Patriarch with a custom set of Hierarchal Engolpia, pectoral crosses in the Byzantine style.

The Patriarch, thanking the faithful of America for this kind gesture, said with satisfaction that he would wear them in the Divine Liturgy on the coming Sunday of Orthodoxy.
