A young man was killed on Wednesday when he was run over by a passenger train on the Alexandroupolis-Ormenio line.

The accident occured near the village Apalou and according to information the man was probably a refugee.

Sources said to Athens-Macedonian News Agency that the victim aged 20 to 30 had no travel or identification documents on him and he was probably sleeping on the railway tracks when the train ran over him.
