Yiannakis Omirou: Crisis no Excuse for Imposition of Unjust Cyprus Solution

President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou has sent a message to all those who believe the financial crisis is the best opportunity to solve the Cyprus problem, saying they should stop insulting the dignity of the people of Cyprus.

Omirou said that if they suggested that Cypriot Hellenism, under the burden of the financial crisis, will accept an unjust and deficient solution, they should know that they will once again hear the `No` of national responsibility and dignity, adding that those who want a solution have a duty to turn to the Turkey, to convince her to abide by the rules of international law.

Speaking at the annual memorial service for hero Nicos Christos Solomou, Omirou said that nothing could oblige the people to accept a solution that would endanger the national and physical survival of Cypriot Hellenism and the smooth coexistence
