Yaya’s Garden Frozen Greek Dinners Awarded Non-GMO Approval Seal

February 12, 2022

How great is this? Frozen Greek dinners including moussaka, pastitsio, melitzana, gemista, fasolada, chickpeas, lentils, fasolakia, spanakorizo and briam and certified free of Genetically Modified Organisms, all-natural and no preservatives

They are under the label Yaya’s Garden, from the U.S. Virgin Islands and Hollis, NH. The company promotes itself as having recipes that go back to 1910 when “Our Yaya turned her back-yard garden’s sun-plumped bounty into nourishing homemade meals, using simple family recipes that let the freshness of the ingredients shine through. “

The meals are made with ristine veggies grown in the Pella, Crete, and the countryside outside Thessaloniki and they are reportedly plant-based and meet vegan and vegetarian standards.

“While the products have always been 100% Non-GMO within our Greek manufacturing practices, we’re so grateful to have the seal of authentication,” said Colin Tuthill, President of Royal Food, a subsidiary.

The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization aimed at building and protecting a non-GMO food supply, which he said is “another natural step towards retaining consumer trust and loyalty in our meals.”

Consumers can now expect to see the Non-GMO Project Verified seal on all Yaya’s Garden meals.
