Woman Dies After Falling onto Athens Metro Tracks

ATHENS — A woman, aged between 50 and 55, was killed after falling onto the metro tracks at Panormou station on Friday under unknown circumstances, the Fire Brigade said. Three fire engines with a nine-member crew took part in the operation. The Greek police are conducting a investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, a man aged between 30 and 35 years old fell onto the metro tracks at Holargos station and was recovered conscious, the Fire Brigade said. The man was rushed to hospital.
