Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
AGRINIO – A horrific episode of domestic violence occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 8, in the area of Dio Rematon in Agrinio.
More specifically, according to agriniopress.gr, a 75-year-old woman fell from the balcony of her house and was taken to the Agrinio Hospital, seriously injured with broken arms and legs.
The woman fell from the balcony trying to avoid the blows of her son who tried to hit her with an iron. According to the initial report, before her fall, the woman allegedly had an argument with her son, who attacked her for an unknown reason and severely beat her.
In the morning, Agrinio police officers managed to arrest the 46-year-old perpetrator, while a case was filed against him for causing dangerous bodily harm and domestic violence.
