Wizz Air Abu Dhabi Connects Greece to the United Arab Emirates

ATHENS — Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has connected Athens and Thessaloniki directly with the United Arab Emirates. The UAE airline's first flight landed in Athens on Friday, January 15, with flights to Thessaloniki starting on February 4, 2021.

The Athens – Abu Dhabi connection flies three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday (from February 17) and Friday, while Thessaloniki – Abu Dhabi is every Monday and Tuesday. "The new routes between Athens, Thessaloniki and Abu Dhabi add 600 thousand additional jobs to the market every year and underline the company's long-term commitment to offer Greek passengers even more affordable and ecological travel proposals," the company said in a statement.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a consortium of ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings plc, initially announced an airline network that includes Athens, Thessaloniki, Alexandria, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odessa and Yerevan, with even more destinations to be added in the coming months.
