Wildfire on Chios under Control

CHIOS, Greece — A wildfire that broke out on Wednesday morning on the island of Chios was set under control.

Earlier, the blaze assisted by the strong winds blowing in the area have threatened two settlements.

A strong firefighting force from land and air and volunteers contained the blaze and currently there is no active front.
