Wildfire Breaks Out in Forest Near Megara

ATHENS — Α wildfire is currently in progress in a forest area in Megara, Attica, near a shooting range.

According to Fire Brigade, the blaze is far from inhabited areas, at least for the time being.

Eleven fire engines and 30 fire fighters serving as their crews, one team of firefighters on foot and a special fire brigade vehicle have been sent to extinguish the flames, assisted by two firefighting aircraft.
