Warlike Outside, Indifferent Inside Mr. Biden

The human mind can’t comprehend it! Logic has gone away… it has taken a walk – Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. found the time, inclination, strength and courage and went to Ukraine, to Kiev and Zelensky, and did not go to Ohio and the city of East Palestine, where American citizens as of Friday night, February 3, 2023, live and breathe…chemicals…after the train derailment. The American President turned his back on his countrymen, ignored the fears of his citizens, wrote – as we Greeks say – ‘on his old shoes’ what he had said on the campaign trail about the… environment, and went thousands of miles away to add more fuel to the fire of the war in Ukraine.

In the town of East Palestine, Ohio, Mr. Biden’s officials mock the people who live there. Local authorities are urging residents to return home, but environmentalists stress that the town will remain uninhabitable. Ohio authorities tell them the water is clean, but at the same time tell them to drink… bottled water. Indeed, the air smells of chemicals, many residents have complained of sore throats and rashes, and as theguardian.com reports, U.S. federal agencies may not release the full list of chemicals for months.

And that’s not all. A few hours ago, as I am writing this piece, a plane carrying environmental experts headed for East Palestine to check the extent of the destruction crashed! What was the President of the United States doing at the same time? He was making promises to Zelensky and others that Putin would not win the war.

And what Mr. Biden did not dare do, Donald Trump did. The ex-President went to the area and breathed what the American citizens in the region breathed and spoke with them. Why? Because for Trump, “America and Americans come first.”

Mr. Biden is only interested in how to continue the war with Russia, how to get Europe more and more involved, and of course, how to open a new front, this time with China in Taiwan. This is what interests Mr. Biden, just as he used to be interested in the bombing of Belgrade and Saddam’s alleged nukes. And with what he is doing he is also provoking the Chinese, who in turn are dropping the soft language and going on the rhetorical offensive:

“America is the largest producer of war. As long as America’s hegemonic policies and belligerent tendencies continue, there will be no peace in the world,” said, among other things, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin, after the statements by Stoltenberg and Blinken – Biden’s people, that is.

The drums of war with China are about to be beaten after the moves of the U.S. President, who is not paying attention to the difficult times his cities and their inhabitants are going through.
