Vrbo Unveils America’s Top Vacation Rentals for 2024

Out of the more than 2 million short term properties listed on their website, Vrbo announces their Vacation Rentals of the Year for 2024. Working off stellar star ratings and rave guest reviews, they select the most standout spaces among the top private vacation rentals in the United States, plus a bonus property in Mexico, a favored destination for U.S. tourists.

This year’s selection highlights amazing properties that include luxurious waterfront homes, secluded cabins, and stylish urban dwellings in locations such as Sedona, Arizona; Austin, Texas; Inlet Beach, Florida; and Blue Ridge, Georgia.

These properties boast popular outdoor amenities that influence current travel trends, offering features such as six heated pools, three infinity pools, eight hot tubs, three outdoor sport courts, five fire pits, three saunas, six game rooms, and four indoor gyms, including a yoga studio. Guests can find unique amenities like a wine cave, vineyard, and in-ground trampoline, too.

“What stands out to me is the variety in this year’s Vacation Rentals of the Year — from cool places with game rooms for kids to wine caves for grown-ups, at nightly rates ranging from $550 to $3,000,” says Jon Gieselman, president of Expedia Brands.

“This list exemplifies the caliber of private vacation rentals across Vrbo.”

Two Million Down to 10

Vrbo draws its Vacation Rentals of the Year selections from a pool of more than 2 million global properties on its platform. To qualify, properties must amass a rating of 4.9 or higher, receive positive guest reviews, boast exceptional amenities, and hold Premier Host status.

“Vrbo’s Premier Hosts go above and beyond to offer exceptional, reliable, and relaxing guest experiences and are key to making a traveler’s vacation seamless,” says Tim Rosolio, VP of Partner Success, Vacation Rentals.

“With the recent adjustment of our Premier Host criteria, we are ensuring that only the best partners receive the badging and are eligible for opportunities like Vacation Rentals of the Year. We have incredible partners on our platform, and with the Premier Host badging we’re sending a clear and compelling trust signal to travelers about where to find the best, and consistent experiences on Vrbo.”
