Vice President Intends to Discuss the Cyprus Problem During Turkey Trip

Senior White House officials said on November 19 that Vice President Joe Biden will discuss Cyprus during talks in Istanbul with President Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey.

The officials mentioned Cyprus during a briefing for reporters about Biden`s visit to Morocco, Ukraine and Turkey.

Regarding Cyprus they said that “our major position will be the importance of getting the peace process back on track and making sure that all the actors that are involved avoid steps that are provocative so that we can take the peace process back on track.”
