US Embassy Responds to Vandalism at Jewish Cemetery of Athens

ATHENS — The United States embassy in Athens condemned yesterday's vandalism revealed Tuesday at the Jewish Cemetery of Athens, quoting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying during his recent visit to Thessaloniki that anti-Semitism demands a response.

"The U.S. Embassy condemns the repugnant vandal attack and anti-Semitic graffiti found at the Jewish Cemetery of Athens. We stand together against voices of hate & intolerance. As Sec. Pompeo said in Thessaloniki, wherever we find anti-Semitism we have an obligation to respond," its tweet underlined.
