Updates: Two Civilians Injured While Assisting Fire-Fighting Effort in Ancient Olympia

ATHENS –Two civilians, residents of the municipality of Ancient Olympia, were injured on Thursday while taking part in the fire-fighting effort and taken to a local health centre. One had suffered slight burn injuries to his palm and legs while the second was suffering from smoke inhalation. Both will remain at the health centre, where they were given first aid.

Earlier today, the fire brigade on Thursday ordered the evacuation of eight more villages in the municipality of Ancient Olympia due to the wildfire raging in the area. The evacuation order concerns the villages of Diliza, Pefkes, Ano-Kato Louvro, Mouria, Linaria, Kamena and Villia. Earlier, there had been an order to evacuate the village Helidoni.
