UN Envoy Prepares for New Talks

Espen Barth Eide, the United Nations Security Council Special Adviser on Cyprus  is pleased with Ozdil Nami’s appointment as the new negotiator for the Turkish Cypriots in the UN-led Cyprus talks.

“Eide wrote on his personal twitter account that he welcomes Ozdil Nami as the new Turkish Cypriot negotiator, adding that he looks forward to working with him, the G/c negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis and the two leaders, Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and T/c leader Mustafa Akinci,” according to CNA.

On May 4 Eide will go to Cyprus for the resumption of the reunification talks.
