Two Tourists Die in Rhodes, Another Is Seriously Injured

RHODES, Greece — Two young tourists, a woman and a man, died and another man was seriously injured while kitesurfing in the Lindos area of Rhodes island, on Wednesday.

The accident happened when the ropes tying their surfboard to the kite broke, and they were thrown agains the rocks on an islet.

Port Authorities, the Fire Brigade and the emergency ambulance service (EKAV) were in the area to determine the cause of the fatal accident.
