Two Pairs of Turkish F-16 Infringe Greece FIR

ATHENS – Two pairs of Turkish military aircraft on Wednesday entered Athens FIR without submitting flight plans.

The first pair of Turkish F-16 flew over the islands of Farmakonissi at 10:03 at 23,000 feet, Lipsi at 10.08 at 8,500 feet and Agathonissi at 10.12 at 7,000 feet.

The second pair of fighter jets flew over the island Panaghia and Oinousses at 10:29 at 27,000 feet.

Greek military aircraft intercepted the Turkish ones according to the international rules, the Greek National Defence General Staff said.
