Two Arrests on Crete for Antiquities Smuggling

HERAKLION, Crete – A 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman have been arrested in Heraklion, Crete and accused of antiquities smuggling.

A search of the suspects’ house revealed three large amphorae, two clay basins, three clay vessels and parts of various objects made of clay, all products of illegal activity.

The suspects will be sent to a Heraklion prosecutor.
