Turkish UAV Violates Greek Airspace

KANDELIOUSSA – A Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Wednesday entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting a flight plan and violated Greek airspace.

The UAV flew over the islet of Kandelioussa at 10:37, west of the island of Nissyros, at 19,000 feet, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff announced.

The Turkish drone was recognised and intercepted according to international rules.
