Turkish Military UAV Illegally Flies over Greek Island of Kinaros

ATHENS – A Turkish military Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting flight plans and infringed Greece’s national airspace on Friday.

The UAV flew over the island of Kinaros at 19,000 feet at 01:21.

The UAV was recognised and intercepted by Greek fighter aircraft, according to international rules and standard practice.
