Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – “It is certain that the SYRIZA party of 172,000 members will be the first party by far in the next general elections, whenever Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis decides to hold these,” underlined main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras in his statement late on Sunday, commenting on the results of the vote to elect the SYRIZA party’s leadership.
Tsipras said that “this is the pledge of the our collective leadership and my personal pledge… We will do everything we can to bring the new victory of our people and to bring back hope and justice in our country”.
He also thanked all those that took part in the process, both the old and new members, and particularly the tens of thousands of people that honoured him with their trust.
Concluding, he pointed out that “SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance party of 30,000 members had won three consecutive elections,” adding that “SYRIZA party of 172,000 members will certainly be first by far in the next general elections” and noted that “a new, long and victorious round for all is now beginning.”
