Tsipras: Girl’s Abuse Not Isolated Incident But Collective Trauma

ATHENS — Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras referred to the case, revealed at the weekend, involving a teenager who was sexually abused by both her father and a serving police officer, who forced her to work as a prostitute, in a post on Twitter

"We should not view the story with the girl who was sexually molested by her father and then by a police officer as an isolated incident but as a collective trauma," Tsipras tweeted on Sunday. "Every woman, every man has the right to self-determination concerning their own body. That is where justice starts," he added.
