Trump’s Crowd Size Obsession

Former President Donald Trump measures his worth as a person, and certainly his popularity, by the size of the crowds that attend his rallies or watch his interviews on television.

It’s one of the things he is most passionate about.

This may not be the most accurate way to gauge a candidate’s popularity, but it certainly indicates something. It’s not insignificant.
You may recall that Trump spent days after his inauguration in 2016 trying to convince us that the crowd gathered was the largest in history.

It wasn’t.

Recently, he claimed that his opponent, Kamala Harris, presented a fabricated, false image of her speech in Detroit, suggesting a large crowd had gathered, “but they weren’t there,” as Donald Trump says.

“She created a fake image showing massive participation from supposed supporters, but they weren’t there,” he specifically wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

This has gone too far. Some things, at least those we see with our own eyes, cannot be disputed.
If an event happened in the distant past, in history, say 100 years ago, and there are no longer any witnesses, it can be questioned.

But when an event is recent, when there are thousands—reportedly 15,000—supporters, when there are photos and videos, it is a great insult to claim the opposite and try to mislead his followers.

He must think we are fools. Complete fools.
But we are not.

Enough is enough!
