Trial on Fixed Matches: All 28 Greek Football Officials Acquitted

ATHENS — The Court of Appeals unanimously acquitted all the 28 football officials who were tried for fixing certain football matches in 2012 and 2013.

After many months of hearing, the court ruled on Thursday that there is no evidence for the two charges attributed to the defendants – alleging participation in a criminal group and the crime of altering the outcome of matches.
