Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
MIAMI BEACH, FL – Greece won three golds and a silver at the Travvy Awards, celebrating their seventh year as the “Oscars” of the tourism industry. The award ceremony was held in person with a gala in Miami Beach on November 11, where the industry’s leading travel suppliers, destinations and travel agencies were recognized for their outstanding efforts over the course of a year that was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 90,000 votes were cast by professionals in the travel industry to determine the winners.
Greece won gold in three categories, Best Destination – Mediterranean, Best Cruise Destination International, and Best Luxury Destination International.
Greece also picked up the silver in the Expedition/ Adventure Destination International category.
Konstantinos Charokopos, the head of the Greek National Tourism Organization in the U.S., accepted the awards at the ceremony.
