To Save a Child (#gianasotheienapaidi) – Auctions for Alexandros Nikolaidis from December 5 to 12, 2022
On October 14, 2022, our world became poorer, when we said goodbye to a great man, father, partner, son and brother, a leading role model athlete, two-time Tae Kwon Do silver Olympic medalist Alexandros Nikolaidis. Our Alexandros left his own personal and unique stamp with his actions and deeds throughout his prominent sporting and social career, just as he left an indelible imprint in our hearts. His last words:
“If we come into this life for a purpose, I have decided what it will be. To offer hope through what I have achieved in my life, from the good to the bad. For this reason, it is time for my two Olympic silver medals, from Athens and Beijing, which I have been hiding well for years, to come out and return to where they belong, to universal values. My last wish is for these two medals to be auctioned and the amount collected to be given to structures for children chosen by my family. If even one child is saved, it will be worth every kick in the head, every broken leg. This is the imprint I want to leave on society, this is the legacy I want to leave to my children”.
