Three Women Reported Missing at Sea Off Lesbos Coast

LESBOS, Greece — Three women of Afghan origin have been missing at sea off the southeast coast of Lesbos since Friday morning, according to reports. Sources said the women fell out of the boat they were using to make the crossing to the island from the shores of Turkey.

The incident was reported by a group of 24 men, women and children from Somalia that reached the Geras Bay on Lesbos on Friday morning.

A search-and-rescue operation to find the women allegedly missing has been launched.
