There’s No “Understanding” With Turkey Regarding Energy Anastasiades Says

Nicos Anastasiades, President Cyprus,  declared on April 4 “that there was no understanding whatsoever with Turkey with regard to the withdrawal of the Turkish seismic vessel “Barbaros” from Cyprus` Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and the developments with regard to the ENI company. Invited to comment on statements made by Turkish Minister of Energy Taner Y?ld?z that there was an understanding for the withdrawal of ‘Barbaros’ and the withdrawal of ENI’s platform from Cyprus’ EEZ, the President rejected this statement, saying that there was no such understanding whatsoever,” according to CNA.
Anastasiades said the the government is proceeding with its energy plans.
