Theoharis Visiting Paris to Promote Greece as a Safe Destination

PARIS — Tourism Μinister Haris Theoharis is due to visit France between Thursday and Saturday as part of his tour of countries of increased interest for Greek tourism. The minister is to have meetings with his French counterpart and with the representatives of airlines and the largest tour operators in France. Also, during his stay in Paris, he will give a series of interviews to French and international media.

Theoharis' visit to France is part of the effort to promote the re-οpening of Greece's tourism market as a safe destination in the summer 2021. As he recently stated at the Delphi Economic Forum, "the French market is particularly keen on the resumption of tourism to Greece and ranks first in terms of bookings."

His programme includes a meeting with the European and Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne. Talks will follow with the general manager of the tourist organisation Héliades, Jean Brajon, and with representatives of the tour operators NG and Karavel-Fram.

After a working lunch with senior executives of the airline Air France on Friday, Theoharis will have a meeting with the Product Manager of tour operator Thalasso No1- Ôvoyage Sami Guenaoui.

In the meantime, the tourism minister will give interviews to French media, such as the newspaper Le Figaro, the French news agency Agence France Presse (AFP), the Europress Union, Tourmag, L'Echo Touristique, the financial magazine Challenges, Le Quotidien du Tourisme and others.
