NEW YORK – In these challenging times, we are all adjusting to new routines. You may be looking to begin or refresh your meditation practice. Or maybe you’re looking for a bit of an escape. No matter how you’re navigating our changing world, the Rubin Museum is still here to provide you with inspiration and knowledge to help you through it! Remember to take deep breaths and be kind. Bring the sights and sounds of the Shrine Room into your home.
According to the Rubin Museum’s website, “Visitors tell us that the Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room is one of their favorite immersive art experiences in New York. Now the Shrine Room is accessible for virtual visits, so it can continue to be a refuge in times of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty.”
The two-hour stream of the Shrine Room is available online and features the flickering butter lamps and meditative Buddhist chants that are part of the live installation. For those with a smart TV (or smart TV device like Apple TV or Roku) the Shrine Room can be streamed directly into your living room from the YouTube app.
